Samcon’s president, Sam Scalia, comes from a family that has worked in the construction industry since 1957. In 1991, he officially launched Samcon with a modest 8-condominium-unit project. By forming an experienced team, Samcon quickly became a major player in the Montreal residential redevelopment sector. To help revitalize the Island, the company promoted some of Montreal's main neighbourhoods, such as the Plateau, South Central, Ville-Marie East, Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and Villeray/St. Michel/Park Extension. Many large-scale projects have left their mark—Jardins du Parc Jarry (Villeray), Domaine André-Grasset (Ahuntsic), Laurier du Plateau (Plateau Mont-Royal) and Samcon’s 815 René-Lévesque downtown administrative offices and unique Design Centre.
Samcon has worked to rebuild and transform many neighbourhoods in Montreal, building more than 3,000 condos. Samcon’s vision—helping to rebuild Montreal—is the basis of its urban redevelopment mission and has proven to be a factor in our success over the years. That, and our trustworthy team.
