Samcon is a residential construction firm operating since 1991. We are proud to offer a high quality product that exceeds the expectation of our clients. To do so, Samcon has a team of specialists who put their expertise to practice in order to guarantee the success of the firm. We also put specific emphasis on our business relations, always seeking to work with partners who share our vision and our drive for success.

Coming from a family of builders since 1957, Samcon's founder, Sam Scalia, still acts as president of the company. Samcon began building in 1991 and had humble beginnings, building only 8 units in its first year of operation. Since 1991, Samcon has built more than 3 000 condos in Montreal.

In 2002, Le Laurier du Plateau became the first concrete building completed by Samcon. It will remain as Samcon's head office until January 2007, when the company moved to 815 René-Lévesque East hence doubling the size of its headquarters. The new Samcon Design Centre occupies about one third of the area. Since the opening in 1991, the company has been growing by developing new projects in different sectors in Montreal.

Since 1999, Samcon won eight Domus price from the APCHQ, including tree times the title « Constructer of the year » and was a finalist every year.

From humble beginnings to its rise as one of Montreal's top builders, Samcon's mission and its team's dedication to the complete satisfaction of each client remain as the main reasons why Samcon has been building on customer's trust since 1991.

Management team

Sam Scalia - Founder and President
Coming from a family of builders since 1954, Sam Scalia studied in California and at McGill University's School of Management in Montreal. In 1991, he founded Samcon and remain today as the company's president.

Christian Bergeron - Executive vice-president
Christian Bergeron started at Samcon in 1996 as a site foreman and is now responsible for all construction activities. Christian possesses more than 20 years of experience in residential construction.

Maurice Gareau - Vice-president Development
Maurice Gareau joined Samcon on July 2006. Over the last 15 years he was top executive for a major residential developer in Montreal. He was involved in numerous projects with more than 100 million dollars of market value. Maurice graduated with an MBA from the H.E.C of Montreal and a B.Comm. from UQÀM.

Paul Martin É.A. - Vice-president Sales and marketing
Paul Martin joined the Samcon team in 2007. He is a Chartered Appraiser and was a senior partner for a Montreal chartered appraisal firm. Paul has about fifteen years of involvement in the Greater Montreal real estate market. He is a specialist with several years of experience in condominium market analysis.
