2009/04/30 - Montreal, April 30th 2009 – M. Sam Scalia, president of Samcon, accepted to be the co-president for the “Sow Hope in the World” Oxfam-Québec event, in collaboration with the Cirque du Soleil on April 29th. During this colourful evening, Samcon was proud to donate $50 000 to Oxfam-Québec.

Samcon awarded three $1,500 bursaries to construction engineering students from the ÉTS
2008/04/30 - Samcon awarded three $1,500 bursaries during the annual bursary award ceremony of the Fonds de développement de L'ÉTS (FDÉTS) that took place on March 19 at the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS). Mr. Paul Martin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, awarded the bursaries to Marise Campeau (absent from the photo), Éric Mainville, and Mathieu Savard. Congratulations to these three construction engineering students! We wish them the best of success in their careers.

Major Montreal builder goes green
2007/09/17 - [Montréal] – Innovations in the area of green building are multiplying but they come at a price. Going green might be positive in the long term but it represents additional costs which homebuilders are wary of transferring to their clients.
Montreal builder Samcon, known for its quality condos at affordable prices, was faced with the same dilemma. How can we integrate green technology without affecting building costs? LDC Technologie inc., a specialist in home automation, came up with the answer. Their technology will be tested at Place Hochelaga, a 56-unit project situated close to Maisonneuve Park. Thanks to their system, Place Hochelaga condos will be equipped with alarm systems linked to the thermostats that will not only regulate the interior temperature to the weather, day and night, but also lower the interior temperature when owners are away. As a result, condo owners will benefit from significant energy savings while still taking advantage of the affordable condos to be built by Samcon at Place Hochelaga, starting at $129 900, tax included.
