About us Since 1991

A message from the President

Sam Scalia

Thank You for visiting our website.

“Samcon was founded in 1991 and has assisted Montreal in improving its new housing in urban areas. Today, an increasing number of professionals and families are returning to live in the city, taking advantage of the urban lifestyle, convenience and proximity to jobs and transportation.

Recognized as a leader in providing urban housing throughout Montreal, Samcon is dedicated to developing outstanding and long-lasting partnerships with the Burroughs with which we work. Our approach to problem solving continues to be successful because we listen to the suggestions of city planners and officials and ultimately recognize that we are all committed to the same goal — serving the local community.

The individuals who live in our condos remain the focal point of all Samcon projects.  The design and configuration of these pedestrian-oriented projects not only address a need to draw people out of their cars and onto community sidewalks and public transportation, but also illustrates ways to meet the energy, air quality, and connectivity goals of the cities in which they live. By making responsible land-use decisions, we improve the lives of our current residents while preserving the land for their future families.

However, we never forget that it is the cities that ultimately make our work possible. We have spear-headed and funded housing sustainability studies with the John Molson Business School (Concordia). We dedicate ourselves to remaining solution oriented. Our commitment continually earns us opportunities to provide innovative in-town housing solutions in over 10 burroughs throughout Montreal.

As transformation of the urban landscape continues, Samcon will continue to do our part to help our city revitalize itself with creativity and thoughtful solutions that redefine the concept of condo development in positive and increasingly progressive ways.

We are passionate about our pursuit of providing transit-oriented housing, mixed-use, and neighborhood infill developments. Our commitment is to improve the local neighborhood experience by capturing the best that exists in each neighborhood socially and architecturally.”

Thank You,

Sam Scalia. MBA
